Get Your Heavy Motorcycle License with ADor-Biker

❗We are sorry to inform you that upcoming course sessions at the Tucheng Driving School have been temporarily closed due to staffing shortages. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a definite timeline when we will be able to be ready to open our services and programs again this year. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding. We will keep you posted once we are ready to assist you every step of the way.

Thank you for showing interest in ADor-Biker

According to Taiwanese law, in order to get a heavy motorcycle license (>250cc), you are required to:

- Register and attend class at an accredited driving school or institute before taking your driving test

- Possess a scooter license (regular motorcycle 50-250cc) for at least 1 year before registering for the class

- Be over 20 years of age

For foreigners who might not have yet mastered Chinese, this can be a confusing process with the government requirements and language barrier. We have partnered with an official Taiwanese driving institute, so you will benefit from our structured program, English language assistance, and personal support in addition to their knowledgeable instructors and small English class.

Program Structure:

1.    Meet your support team at the ADor-Biker office in central Taipei (or online) to review program info, fill out paperwork, take license photos, and complete a necessary medical evaluation, (1 1/2 hours)

2.    Attend 1-2 day practice/coaching classes in English at the driving school in Tucheng

3.    Take the official driving test at the driving school in Tucheng where you’ve been practicing

4.    Receive a heavy motorcycle license at our office or in the mail 7 business days after you pass the test!

** UPDATE: As of March 2022, heavy motorcycle licenses are now separated into 2 types of licenses, which are distinguished by the type of motorcycle you can ride. Our driving school only offers Type 1 licenses

  1.  Type 1 - Gear Motorcycle (you can ride both type 1&2 motorcycles)
  2.  Type 2 - Scooter Motorcycle (you can only ride type 2 motorcycles)

※ Before registering, please read the below FAQ and send us a message at FB messenger, email, or here:

  • Your desired class start date & class time (so we can confirm they are available)
  • We recommend registering early to secure your spot & program fee, but please note that at the very least Step 1 above has to be completed NO LATER THAN 1 week before your first class date
    • Ex. For class starting Sat. 08/20, the 1.5-2hr meeting at our office much be scheduled for NO LATER THAN 2:30 pm on Fri. 08/12.
