Get Your Heavy Motorcycle License with ADor-Biker
According to Taiwanese law, in order to get a heavy motorcycle license (>250cc), you are required to:
- Register and attend class at an accredited driving school or institute before taking your driving test
- Possess a scooter license (regular motorcycle 50-250cc) for at least 1 year before registering for the class
- Be over 20 years of age
For foreigners who might not have yet mastered Chinese, this can be a confusing process with the government requirements and language barrier. We have partnered with an official Taiwanese driving institute, so you will benefit from our structured program, English language assistance, and personal support in addition to their knowledgeable instructors and small English class.
Program Structure:
1. Meet your support team at the ADor-Biker office in central Taipei (or online) to review program info, fill out paperwork, take license photos, and complete a necessary medical evaluation, (1 1/2 hours)
2. Attend 1-2 day practice/coaching classes in English at the driving school in Tucheng
3. Take the official driving test at the driving school in Tucheng where you’ve been practicing
4. Receive a heavy motorcycle license at our office or in the mail 7 business days after you pass the test!
** UPDATE: As of March 2022, heavy motorcycle licenses are now separated into 2 types of licenses, which are distinguished by the type of motorcycle you can ride. Our driving school only offers Type 1 licenses
