Get Your Heavy Motorcycle License with ADor-Biker

According to Taiwanese law, in order to get a heavy motorcycle license (>250cc), you are required to:

- Possess a Taiwanese scooter license (also calls as regular motorcycle 50 – 250cc) for at least 1 year before registering for the class

- Register and attend class at an accredited driving school or institute before taking your driving test

- Be over 20 years of age

For foreigners who might not have yet mastered Chinese, this can be a confusing process with the government requirements and language barrier. We have partnered with an official Taiwanese driving institute, so you will benefit from our structured program, English language assistance, and personal support in addition to their knowledgeable instructors and small English class.

Program Structure:

1) a. Program Overview: 1.5 hrs-2 hrs. online / office meeting with ADor-Biker team member

- Discussion about the program and the official driving test schedule

  • - Filling out paperwork

    b. Medical Evaluation: 30 min at the medical office in person with ADor-Biker team member, including:

     - Filling out paperwork

     - Taking license photos

2) Attend 6-days of class for practice and coaching in English at the driving school

3) Take the official driving test at the driving school where you’ve been practicing

4) Receive your heavy motorcycle license in 7 business days after you pass the test!

UPDATE: As of March 2022, heavy motorcycle licenses are now separated into 2 types of licenses, which are distinguished by the type of motorcycle you can ride. Our driving school only offers Type 1 licenses

  •  Type 1 - Gear Motorcycle (you can ride both type 1 & 2 motorcycles)
  •  Type 2 - Scooter Motorcycle (you can only ride type 2 motorcycles)

Before registering, please read the below FAQ and send us a message at FB messenger, email, or here:

  • If you have any questions (there’s a lot of information!)
  • Your desired class start date & class time (or ask about the next available dates if you are unsure) so we can confirm they are available with the driving school
  • We recommend registering early to secure your spot & program fee, but please note Step 1 above (the meeting with our staffs & registration) MUST BE COMPLETED NO LATER THAN 1 week before your class session starts.
