On the Road Program

Now that you’ve got your scooter license, it’s time to ride out on the road! This program is for our foreign friends who have already received their license, but don’t have any/much experience actually driving around or want to feel more confident riding ‘on the road’ in traffic through the city.

ADor-Biker has created a program that allows you to ride a scooter in Taipei with the help of our instructor. In a small group of up to 5 riders, you will gain experience:

· Riding in city traffic and ‘motorcycle only’ lanes

· Taking left turns and double left turns

· Crossing bridges

· Finding parking

· Filling up your gas

Along the way, the instructor will also teach you important information about:

· Parking fee & fine payments

· What to do in an accident

· What to do if you’re pulled over by police

· What necessities to keep prepared

· Helpful hand signals between riders

About the Program:

· Time: 2.5 hours

· Price: $2,500 NTD

o This price includes mandatory driving insurance

· Meeting Point: iRent Shilin Station (IRentheyunshilin Station)

· Route: We will start at the iRent Shilin Station where we will help you rent a scooter if you do not already have one. We will then scooter to the beautiful Guandu Temple where you can stop and enjoy the scenery. In the end, we will circle back around to the iRent Shilin Station via a different route to drop off the rented scooters and say goodbye.

After registration, we will ask you if you will be riding your own scooter:

If you are riding your own scooter there is no additional fee
If you will be renting a scooter at the iRent station, you will be responsible for paying the $550 NTD rental fee. It is a 24-hour rental period, so you are welcome to keep it for the entire 24-hour period if you want to return it yourself later.
