Across Taiwan, numerous major roads feature designated bus lanes. These lanes are exclusively reserved for buses and are typically clearly marked. It's important to note that scooters are generally not permitted to use bus lanes, and any violation of this rule may incur fines or penalties.

When approaching a bus stop, particularly during periods of passenger boarding or disembarking, exercise caution and be ready to stop or reduce your speed.

When sharing the road, it is important to maintain a safe distance and avoid riding too closely. Public buses may make sudden stops, and their large size can hinder their visibility of smaller vehicles in their blind spots.

When overtaking near a bus stop, it is important to signal your intentions and pass on the left only when it is safe to do so. It is worth noting that bus stops are usually situated on the right side of the road, and may make sudden stops to accommodate passengers boarding or disembarking. Remain vigilant and pay attention to vehicle turn signals, as there may be a stop at any given moment. 

It is common for scooter routes and bus routes to intersect. In these situations, it is important to be mindful of road signage and markings that indicate dedicated scooter lanes or routes.

Exercise heightened caution when approaching pedestrian crossings. While buses are obligated to yield, scooter riders should also be vigilant and yield to both pedestrians and buses.

Remember that safety should always be your top priority when riding a scooter in Taiwan, particularly when sharing the road with larger vehicles.
